New Picture for the Diamond Dust Competiton at Sims Unbound
Story Description:
"She's a robot, Kappa. She is cold, lifeless metal!"
He had heard the same thing from almost everyone on board the ship.
"She isn't human, and she never will be," they had told him, but they didn't understand.
Nova was human. Or atleast more human than any of them. She understood him, she understood the world. She was more real than anyone else on the ship; But at the same time, they were right. She was made of metal, and the citizens aboard the ship weren't afraid to voice their opinions of the matter.
"What happened?" Kappa exclaimed at the sight of his forbidden love slumped on the floor.
"They do not like us together, Kappa." She said quietly with no infliction in her voice that gave any inclination of a thought that she was anything but human. The only give-away of her robotic origins was in the pieces of metal sticking out of her fake skin.
"Who did this?" He said, rushing over to her. "Who?"
"Does it matter?" She questioned. "I feel no pain." Kappa winced. He knew that she couldn't possibly feel it, but he sometimes forgot she wasn't human.
"Still. I don't want people hurting you, Nova."
"It's okay." She said, staring at her feet.
Kappa knelt down and sat beside her. "It's not okay." He mumbled as he embraced her.
"It is though. I am not human. They have proven their point."
"What point?" He said, angry at the people who hurt her.
"They made you finally see what I really am. They thought that you would leave because of it. That you might get some sense and find a human girl."
"Never." He whispered. "Never."
Nova couldn't look at him. She felt like if she did she would break apart. The emotions she had been feeling since meeting this human boy had confused her. She was metal parts with a human facade. They were born, she was made. They had beating hearts, she had metal parts. Humans knew emotion, and somehow she was feeling it too.
"I shouldn't love you." She said.
"But you do." He teased. "And I love you."
A small tear rolled down her cheek
